Legal Basis for Establishment

“On the Establishment of the Special Economic Zone ‘Park of Innovative Technologies’ dated August 18, 2003, No. 1166.
Overview
The PIT SEZ is designated as a special economic zone of a technology-implementation type, focused on:
1. Technological development in the following fields:
- Information technologies
- Telecommunications and communication technologies
- Electronics and instrumentation engineering
- Renewable energy sources, resource conservation, and efficient environmental management
- Technologies for the creation and application of materials for various purposes
- Technologies for the extraction, transportation, and processing of oil and gas
2. Promoting the integration of Kazakhstan’s economy into the global economic system.
3. Developing highly efficient, including high-tech and competitive industries, mastering the production of new types of products, and attracting investment.
