52 new participants joined the SEZ PIT Almaty in 2023

“On October 11, 2023, the foundation was laid for a new plant for the production of medical products—catheters, probes, containers for collecting pathological materials, and more. The project is being implemented by Juldyz Kenan Ltd., with an investment volume of about 1.5 billion tenge and the creation of 100 jobs. The planned completion date for construction is July 2024,” the Akimat stated.

On November 23, 2023, the SEZ “PIT” hosted the opening ceremony of the Kazakhstan–Malaysia plant for the production of electrical equipment and power distribution systems, OISB Kazakhstan. A land plot of 0.6 hectares was allocated for the project. The project cost amounts to 980 million tenge. The production capacity is designed for the output of 2,000 units per year.

Currently, the total area of the SEZ “PIT” is 163.02 hectares, of which 52.18 hectares have been leased to companies for the construction of production facilities. Most of the territory is occupied by infrastructure facilities. Land plots for the implementation of investment projects within the SEZ “PIT” are provided free of charge with the right of sublease. The plots are supplied with the necessary infrastructure, divided into clusters, and comply with all sanitary standards.

Since the launch of the SEZ “PIT,” its participants—investor companies—have created 6,664 jobs, invested 78.6 billion tenge, paid 117.4 billion tenge in taxes and other payments to the budget, and produced goods and services worth 707.8 billion tenge. Export volume has amounted to 8.6 billion tenge.
